With the new rSTOR C, you are not just purchasing a buffer tank, but a compact control centre for storing and distributing heat throughout your entire heating system. All connections are clearly labelled and prepared for installation, and can be fitted quickly and easily, eliminating the need for time-consuming wall mounting of the piping and subsequent insulation. TFG member Mr Robert Biesinger, managing director of Ro-Bi TEC Robert Biesinger in Rottenburg-Wendelsheim in Baden-Württemberg, first encountered rendeMIX in 2018. He recognised the potential behind the rendeMIX assemblies early on. Robert Biesinger added a third heating circuit to an rMIX DN25 3×4+3mix R 35 using the supplementary product rMIX DN25 2×4 RT 5. He also installed our bestseller, the RTB DN15 T0-40 balancing valve (Fbh), in the return flow of his underfloor heating circuit. We asked Mr Biesinger about the system and found out why he uses our products.

Baunach specialist partner David Kaiser, managing director of Kaiser Nachhaltig heizen GmbH in Gerstetten, Baden-Württemberg, first encountered rendeMIX in 2018. This was followed by various installations in subsequent years up to the present day. David Kaiser uses an rMIX DN25 3×4 R 5 in combination with an rMIX DN25 2×4 RH 35. He is also an advocate of thermostatic balancing and has therefore equipped all air heater heating circuits with an RTB DN20 T20-70 balancing set (flink). Mr Kaiser regulates his heat generator using a VTB DN32s T40-100 condensing boiler set. Heat recovery is achieved using a VTB DN32s T25-70 condenser set. We asked Mr Kaiser about the system and found out why he uses the rendeMIX and thermostatic balancing.

We have recently started offering new return temperature limiters with a temperature range of 0–50 °C and integrated temperature sensors for our innovative Baunach products. This means that you no longer need to invest time in installing a temperature sensor. You also save money, as no additional components such as T-pieces or immersion sensors are required.

Various systems followed in subsequent years, right up to the present day. In 2010, the company's own system was implemented, which we would like to present to you today. That's 11 years of continuous operation with a rendeMIX 3×4 buffer discharge with a downstream rendeMIX 2×4+ for a third, mixed circuit, which we would also like to present to you in this article. We had the opportunity to ask Mr Manghofer about the system and find out why he uses the rendeMIX.

Until a few years ago, drinking water storage tanks were considered the ultimate solution for heating drinking water, and they are still widely used in private households today. And who can blame them? They offer a comparatively high level of convenience with little technical effort and are available at a reasonable price. However, with the advent of solar systems, it became necessary to lower the return temperatures to the heating system as much as possible. At around the same time, the issue of Legionella bacteria arose. Both factors spoke in favour of instantaneous water heaters, hygienic storage tanks with corrugated pipe heat exchangers and fresh water stations. But is this additional expense always justified, and does it not also entail other disadvantages?

The idea of extracting additional heat from combustion exhaust gases by condensing the water vapour they contain has now become widely accepted in natural gas and heating oil boilers under the term "condensing technology". In this respect, it can be assumed that the trend towards condensing technology will also continue in wood boilers and CHP units, especially as each of these technologies offers further advantages.
