Every installation step from our manual – right next to the real site photo

We promise simple and fast installation – and we would rather show you than merely claim it. On the left you see the respective step from our installation manual, on the right the real photo from the site of our specialist partner Rudi Schlittenhardt GmbH & Co. KG from the northern Black Forest.

1. Delivery & transport

Step 1 – Check the delivery

Just as the manual requires, the tank is first checked carefully for transport damage on delivery, before the insulation is taken off and set aside.

Step 2 – Move the tank into the building

As described in the manual: two people are enough to move the rSTOR C safely to its installation site on a sack truck. At 116 kg (rSTOR C 800) and 128 kg (rSTOR C 1000), the tanks are classed as lightweight.

And this is true as well: the rSTOR C fits through every standard door with a clear width of 81 cm or more.

Step 3 – Lay the insulation mat at the installation site

Arrived at the final installation site: ready for the floor insulation mat and the next installation steps.

Step 4 – Fit the flange nipples

Exactly as described: the hemp-sealed flange nipples are screwed into the tank sockets using an open-ended spanner (AF 42).

The spirit level comes into play – exactly as in the manual, for a clean, horizontal alignment of all connection flanges.

Step 6 – Fit the remaining connections

Extendable flexibly as required: connection assemblies for additional heat generators, consumers and solar thermal systems.

Step 7 – Align the tank vertically

Two professionals, one spirit level: the tank is aligned exactly vertically using the adjustable feet – the basis for a professional installation result.

Step 8 – Base ring insulation mat

The outer base ring insulation mat sits exactly as the manual specifies – insulated down to the floor without any gaps.

Step 9a – Position the insulation shells

The two insulation shells enclose the tank with a precise fit – every connection sits exactly in its designated cut-out.

Step 9b – Close with tensioning straps

The two tensioning straps pull the insulation shells together. And fitting the sensors leaves no question marks either: every position is numbered.

Step 9c – A tip from the field

A tip from the field: a piece of cardboard reliably protects the insulation from the strap buckles.

Step 9d – Close the hook strip & fit the lid

Fully encased: the insulation shells are closed and all connection openings sit exactly where they belong.

4. Ball valve double unions & completion

Step 10 – Fit the ball valve double unions

The T-shaped ball valve double unions are fitted with flat seals – a few simple movements are all it takes for perfect alignment.

The result: a tidy distribution centre, completely ready for connection, with directly flange-mounted and shut-off pump and valve assemblies – and the Baunach hydraulic diagram on the tank.
