+ Baunach system efficiency in heat distribution and heat storage

Just as a clockwork is more than just a loose pile of cogwheels, a heating system is more than just a collection of different components.

Of course, no system can work more efficiently than its components, but conversely, the efficiency of a system can lag far behind that of its components because of a lack of interaction between them.

At Baunach, we have been dealing with precisely this interaction between the components of heating systems, the so-called hydraulics and the associated control system, for over 25 years.

During this time, we have developed many processes with which we can significantly increase the efficiency of existing heating systems once again by improving the interaction of the components and thus helping them to achieve their peak performance.

System efficiency from Baunach not only guarantees you fast and powerful hot water heating, but also efficient running times for heat pumps, condensing boilers, wood-fired boilers and solar thermal systems.

+ Easier and faster installation in less space

With the new rSTOR C you are not just purchasing a buffer cylinder, but a compact centre for storing and distributing the heat from your entire heating system. All connections are clearly labelled and suitably prepared and are quick and easy to install, so there is no need for time-consuming wall installation of the pipework and subsequent insulation. All assemblies are connected directly to the rSTOR C and result in a tidy and well-organised overall appearance, leaving you more space and time for nicer and more important things.

+ High-quality insulation of all connections

The rSTOR C not only has energy efficiency class B insulation, which minimises heat loss to the economic minimum.

In addition, all its connections, including venting and draining, as well as all thermometers, are embedded in a closed casing so that the precious heat cannot escape unhindered at any point.

+ Best layering and layer retention

Good stratification in the buffer cylinder is a prerequisite for ensuring that all components of the heating system can work together efficiently. Care must be taken to ensure that the various layers with different temperatures remain separate from each other and do not mix. Otherwise the heat generators would have to start again and again to ensure the required supply of hot water.

That is why the rSTOR C has three different zones, which are separated from each other by special flow guide plates on the inside. The top zone contains the hot water for heating water; the middle zone contains the hot water that supplies the room heating and the bottom zone collects the cold water that is required for the efficient operation of all heat generators. The internal risers of the rSTOR C are made of thermally insulated material to avoid senseless temperature short circuits.

As a result, you can be sure that your heating system will work without the useless destruction of different temperature layers and that expensive components such as heat pumps, wood-burning stoves or solar thermal systems will work as efficiently as they do for a long time. In this way, the rSTOR C to ensure that your investment in modern and sustainable heating pays for itself even faster.

+ Versatile in use

The rSTOR C is intended for the connection of up to four different modules, allowing the following combinations to be realised:

  • A main heat generator, e.g. a heat pump or a condensing boiler
  • One or two heating circuits, e.g. radiators and underfloor heating, also with so-called system separation
  • Hygienic hot water preparation via a so-called fresh water station
  • An additional heat generator, e.g. a wood-burning stove, a wood boiler or a solar thermal system or one or two additional heating circuits

The rSTOR C is available in 800 and 1000 litre sizes.

+ Specially developed for heat pumps, wood-burning stoves and solar thermal energy

The combination of heat pumps with wood-burning stoves and solar thermal systems presents a particular challenge on the one hand and a great opportunity on the other. A great opportunity because the wood-burning stove and the solar thermal system can help to relieve the heat pump of its most difficult task, namely the preparation of hot water at cold outside temperatures. And a great challenge because the aforementioned separation of different temperatures must function perfectly. During the development of the rSTOR C we have made sure that the storage system fulfils this task in the best possible way.
